A relentless cycle of reform

 

The UK is probably the world’s most active and relentless reformer of civil service management. Over the last 65 years there have been at least 20 significant pulses of reform efforts which addressed civil service management.

I have reviewed over 25 pulses of reform and almost 170 new or continuing reform elements in order to expose and visualise the scope, intensity and patterns of reform over the 65 years.
